Exploration-based gameplay has recently advanced with the release of Tomb Raider: Underworld. Lara Croft, a bold explorer, explores far-flung locales. At the same time, she pays fantastic attention to detail in each one, producing astonishing high-definition visual fidelity that creates a truly believable world and offers a new degree of difficulty and options.
Action-adventure video Game Tomb Raider: Underworld was created by Crystal Dynamics and released by Eidos Interactive in November 2008 for Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS. Later releases were made available for the PlayStation 2 in 2009, OS X in 2012, and mobile devices in December 2008.
The many versions were produced or ported by numerous firms. Underworld, the third instalment in the Legend trilogy and the ninth overall instalment in the Tomb Raider series, features explorer-archaeologist Lara Croft as she seeks out Mjolnir, a critical artefact necessary to access the realm of Helheim while battling enemies from her past.
Key Features
- Understand your environment: Use the broadest acrobatic skills to scale new heights and use surrounding elements to discover the uncharted territory in Tomb Raider: Underworld.
- Discover fantastic and uncharted lands: Discover ancient underworld mysteries buried in Mexico's jungles, frozen islands in the Arctic Ocean, and Thailand's shoreline.
- Arduous and unforeseen obstacles: Each Level is a complex multi-stage puzzle concealed within an engaging outdoor play area that gives players more freedom in approaching the challenge.
- Additional battle options: With the new dual-target system, you can now target numerous adversaries at once, decide whether to kill or appease them and shoot while hanging upside down with the other hand.
Plot
In the middle of an explosion, Lara Croft must find her way throughout Croft Manor while dodging bullets from her tech assistant Zip. One of the numerous Norse underworlds' remains, called "Niflheim," may be found on the island, and Lara finds one of the gauntlets that the deity Thor is said to have used to wield Mjolnir.
Gameplay
In the single-player action-adventure Game Tomb Raider: Underworld, the player takes control of Lara Croft from a third-person viewpoint as she explores a range of global locales. Lara can swing on ropes and horizontal poles and jump, climb, and shimmy along ledges, vertical bars, and ladders. She can scale some surfaces in some places and stand on some shelves to move more quickly. Other skills include the ability to swim and dive underwater for a brief period, wall jump between two adjacent surfaces, interact with objects and switches, use a grappling hook to latch onto unique rings for environment exploration and puzzle solving, and wall jump between two adjacent surfaces.
There's much more than just this, and there are emotions. Witness the action-packed madness.
