The Final Station (Global) (PC / Mac / Linux) - Steam - Digital Key

The Final Station

The end of the world.

But for you, it's not quite over—at least not yet. You now have the upper hand over the sick hordes with to the thousands of tonnes of locomotive at your disposal. The Last Station is this one.

The actual decision is whether you'll assist the survivors in reaching their destinations, or if you'll let them perish so that you can steal their bodies. People can occasionally cause more difficulty than they are worth.

Key Features

  • A post-apocalyptic journey aboard a train through a dying planet
  • A five-chapter narrative with sizable, populated stations at each chapter's conclusion.
  • Every time you leave the train to hunt for supplies, infected are waiting to hinder your progress.
  • Keep your train running well and create useful goods from the materials you scavenge.
  • Expecting to gun your way past the hordes of sick is unrealistic. There is relatively little ammunition and supply.
  • Pick up survivors along the route to receive benefits (and drawbacks) for your efforts.
  • Pick up trash at stations and make valuable materials.
  • Sell your stuff at populated stations to buy beneficial weapon upgrades.

Gameplay

The Final Station is an intentionally misleading little game. Its rigorous linearity and survivalist mindset may surprise you if you were hoping for a rogue-like or a fast-paced shooter.

Don't worry, though; even though the world of The Final Station is on the verge of disintegrating, if you approach it with an open mind, you'll actually discover a respectable piece of world building waiting for you at every stop.

Only a century has gone since a catastrophic occurrence that nearly wiped out humanity. With scientists as its rulers and martial law as its lifeblood, the globe has become a smaller place. Life is quite nice as one of the few remaining conductors around until the news of another attack spread like wildfire.

The Guardian, a potent "machine" built to stop the invasion, is humanity's final line of defence, and it's up to you to deliver the essential parts while everyone else seeks refuge. But it looks like there isn't a diesel engine strong enough to outrun the end of the world at every stop and barren crossroads.

On foot and by rail, respectively, make up the two separate sections of The Final Station, with the former comprising the majority of the gameplay. Exploring abandoned cities for food, health, and ammo is part of a methodical side-scrolling game. But the real goal is to find the security code that will allow your train to depart the station. Naturally, everything would be easy if not for the hordes of sick people in your path.

Get you game today and we believe that you wouldn’t have seen anything before like this!
