Product description
In the life simulation real-time strategy God game Spore, the player can watch a species grow from a microscopic organism to a sophisticated creature, emerge as a social, sentient being, conquer the planet, and ascend into space where it interacts with other alien species throughout the galaxy. The viewpoint and species of the player drastically shift throughout the game.
Spore shows five stages of evolution in Spore: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilisation, and Space. Every step has a distinct style, set of difficulties, and objectives.
You have a choice in how you play: Start in Cell and raise one species from a simple organism found in a tidepool to an intergalactic traveller, or dive right in and establish tribes or civilisations on alien worlds. It's up to you what you do with your universe.
You may create everything in your universe using Spore's wide range of potent yet simple-to-use creation tools, including creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even starships.
There are various "stages" in the game. The results of one phase impact the player's starting circumstances and levels in the subsequent phase. The developers have stated that each stage is ten times more complex than the one before it and displays a unique playing style. Stages frequently include optional missions that, when completed, reward the player with a perk like a new skill or money. The species will revive at its nearest colony or the start of the phase if all of a player's creations are destroyed at some time.
In contrast to many other Maxis games, Spore contains a primary win condition that is met by travelling to the galaxy's supermassive black hole and receiving a "Staff of Life." After any goal is accomplished, the player may still carry on playing. If the player uses the editors occasionally, it may only take them one or two hours to finish the first four stages of the game. The player may stay in one Level for as long as they like and go on to the next stage whenever they are ready. Each step has no time limit.
A characteristic or consequence trait is given to the player's creature after each phase due to their actions. Each phase has three possible outcomes, typically determined by how violently or softly the step was played. The creature's characteristics dictate how it will begin the subsequent stage and grant it abilities it can utilise later in the game.
