Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter Game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision in 2008. It is the fifth Main Game of the Call of Duty series. The Pacific and Eastern Front theatres of World War II, which involved the United States, the Empire of Japan, the Soviet Union, and Nazi Germany, are the main subjects of the campaign mode's narrative. Based on various real-life engagements, it is told from the viewpoints of Red Army soldier Private Dimitri Petrenko, US Navy Petty Officer Locke, and Marine Raider Private C. Miller. Similar to Call of Duty 4and many subsequent Call of Duty entries, the game's multiplayer portion has several Game modes and a levelling system that allows players to acquire new weapons and rewards as they advance. Players can control vehicles in the shape of tanks on some multiplayer maps. Play this amazing game of the Call of Duty series.
The Key Features of World at War include :
- Additionally, the game offers downloadable "map packs" that may be bought online. The addition of a cooperative mode, which allows up to two players locally and four online, and the advent of the Zombies mode, were new additions to the franchise.
- The game has more advanced audio and visual effects based on an improved version of the Infinity Ward IW engine.
- Treyarch used the engine to add more destructible elements to specific landscapes and add realistic burns and limb amputation to character models.
- Although World at War is open-ended and offers the player many methods to fulfil goals, it otherwise plays similarly to earlier Call of Duty games in terms of themes and content. Teammates controlled by AI fight alongside players. They assist in completing the game's missions by giving cover fire, taking out foes, and opening doors.
