The beloved Gauntlet 4-player co-op action gameplay is back in a brand-new adventure! In this exciting monster-filled dungeon brawler, choose from one of four unique heroes to play as and traverse levels that have been both specially designed and randomly produced. Through local and online co-op multiplayer, you and your buddies may battle the never-ending hordes of enemies while competing for treasure and glory. Enter the Shadows!

 

Each of the four characters in Gauntlet plays entirely different from the others, which is an outstanding achievement. The wizard is an exile from a real-time role-playing Game, and his attacks include pressing two buttons simultaneously to switch from basic fireballs and icy beams to full-on cyclones that are called up to Level the playing field. The warrior engages in top-down combat directly. The Valkyrie is a tactical, defensive, and defensive class. The elf Game is similar to a twin-stick shooter. Put all four characters on the same Level for some cooperative adventuring, and you'll get the chance to experience rare total anarchy. You may still shoot food; that much is true. And yes, when it occurs, the Game and your teammates get snarkier and angrier.

 

And there therein lays the difficulty. While striving to be the freewheeling alternative to other, more complex dungeon crawlers, Gauntlet tries to expand its decades-old gameplay in all the wrong ways. Even the easiest enemies, such as the skeletons and mummies that inhabit the early rounds, are challenging to defeat in the presence of the four classes. The Game ideally allows the player to dispatch enemies with one or two hits quickly. A sense of collaboration emerges when four people with different skill sets work together. The challenge makes it feel even better if buddies are participating. You're playing solo; you'll restart each Level numerous times because an average grunt can kill you in three hits while you don't kill enough enemies to get a skull coin, the Game's illusive version of a continuous. The warrior, for instance, uses a spin technique similar to Zelda, and the Valkyrie tosses her shield like Captain America. However, the anticipated catharsis of wiping out entire enemy fields at once is nowhere to be seen. Instead, each of the four characters has different crowd-control skills. Most of your assaults are typical ones, and none of them is as accurate or fluid as you'd want.
