Product description

Fallout 3 (PC) - Steam - Digital Code

The action role-playing game, Fallout 3 is the third major instalment in the Fallout Series.

The Capital Wasteland, a large region made up of the ruins of Washington, D.C., and most of the surrounding countryside, is the setting for the game, which takes place in this post-apocalyptic, open-world environment.

Fallout 3 is the first 3D game in the Fallout series, with the previous entries being turn-based shooters that depicted the action from an isometric perspective.

Gameplay

The player can fight manually or enjoy amazing animations provided by Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.) while getting involved in a fight.

This system pays homage to earlier Fallout games' turn-based combat. When you employ V.A.T.S, the game is paused, and you can focus on a certain enemy body section.

The game's non-linear advancement system is made up of a tonne of opportunities for rewarding exploration and a tonne of side tasks. In a similar vein, there are other paths you can choose to complete tasks and shape your character.

The game can be played as a third-person shooter as well as a first-person shooter. Fallout 3 is played from the first-person perspective, in contrast to earlier games in the franchise. After the game's opening moments, players have the choice to play at any point from either this or an "over-the-shoulder" third-person perspective. Major components of the fighting system are added, modified, or eliminated, despite the fact that many features from earlier games are reused, such as the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and the varieties of enemies met.

Plot

The setting of Fallout 3 is a territory that includes much of the devastated metropolis of Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and portions of Maryland. It takes place in the year 2277. (mostly Montgomery County). The scaled-down version of many real-world landmarks, including the White House, Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Washington Monument, can be found in the game's scaled landscape, along with a few settlements dotted around the Capital Wasteland that are made up of Great War survivors' descendants, including one built around an unexploded bomb, another with a ghoul-dominated population, and one created within the hud of a ghoul.

The Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel are the two main factions in the area. While the Enclave shares a similar mission with their western colleagues, the Brotherhood of Steel's eastern branch aspires to help Wastelanders. However, a tiny contingent of outcasts rejected this and now wish to return to their original objective of salvaging advanced technology. Other factions include those that feast on blood, tend to an area of the wastes where plants have proliferated and restore the Lincoln Memorial in an effort to encourage others to choose freedom.
