Product description

Watch Dogs (PC) - Ubisoft Connect - Digital Code

Watch Dogs is a third-person action-adventure game, where the player assumes control of hacker Aiden Pearce. The latter uses his smartphone to manipulate traffic signals and trains, hack security systems, disable smartphones, access the personal data of pedestrians, and empty their bank accounts. The process of system hacking involves puzzle solving. Watch Dogs is set in "Windy City," a fictionalised version of Chicago that features an open area and allows for freedom of movement. It contains a dynamic weather system and a day-night cycle that alters how non-player characters act (NPCs). Aiden utilises an extendable truncheon for melee battles; additional weapons include handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers.

How to Play

The player can utilise proximity IEDs, grenades, electronic lures, slow motion for gunplay, and all three. Both violent and non-lethal mission strategies are possible.

Aiden can climb up walls to hide from adversaries, hack forklifts and aerial work platforms to get to places that are ordinarily out of reach. The user can move around the environment using a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles, sports cars, off-road vehicles, SUVs, luxury automobiles, scooters, and speedboats. There are roughly fifty tunes that can be selected for the car radio. If the player steals a car, the owner can call the police, but if the player is well-liked, the owner may agree.

Key Features of the Game

  •  A good reputation can be attained by spotting (and preventing) criminal activity, while a negative reputation is achieved by doing illegal activity.
  •  Points obtained via hacking, combat, driving, and crafting are used to advance the skill tree.
  •  You can buy weapons, clothing, and vehicles with money.
  •  There are several minigames, from managing a giant robotic spider to killing aliens.
  •  As collectables, there are QR codes and audio logs; ctOS towers unlock map icons and side objectives.
  •  The player can perform hacking contracts and compete in races with up to seven other free-roaming players in multiplayer mode. Others may even hack the gamer, mistaking the target for an NPC (leaving the mark to find the perpetrator).

Although in-game invasions can be turned off, doing so will cause the multiplayer skill rank to 0. This game version includes multiplayer free-roaming or the decryption mode, which pits two teams of four against one another to see who can collect and hold the most data.

Six regions on the map serve as the foundation for the game's recreation of the Chicago metropolitan area:

  • Parker Square, which resembles the city's northern and western regions.
  • The Loop is based on the Chicago Loop.
  • Brandon Docks, a loose recreation of the south side's industrial district.
  • The Wards, which is modelled after Englewood.
  • Mad Mile, which is modelled after the Magnificent Mile.
  • Pawnee, a fictitious rural town, resembles some.
