Product description

Ticket to Ride (Europe) (PC / Mac) - Steam - Digital Key

Set out to play the vintage board game Ticket to Ride with your friends and family. In this railway journey, you must connect your cities and get to your destinations as quickly as possible.

Try out alternative strategies, block your rivals' lines, and take over routes before they do in this strategy game for all ages. Each new game is a different experience because many other methods exist.

Gameplay

Players are assigned four train car cards as their starting hand at the start of the main game. Then, on a map of the United States and southern Canada, three Destination Ticket cards are presented to them; each displays two cities. These turn into goals, which stand in for the two endpoints the players are ostensibly trying to connect. At least two of these destination cards must be kept by the player, and any tickets that are left over must be placed at the bottom of the stack. A destination ticket may only be kept once for the game's duration.

Finally, each participant chooses a set of 45 coloured railway pieces and a matching scoring marker.

The player must select one of three possibilities for each turn.

Draw three additional destination ticket cards and keep at least one (replacing unwanted tickets at the bottom of the stack) or draw two railway car cards in various colours from the draw piles, or play their collected railway car cards from their hand to claim a route on the board and place the corresponding number of train pieces from their store on the claimed way, with the caveat that placing a wild Locomotive card face up forfeits drawing another card.
