The Night of the Rabbit (PC / Mac) - Steam - Digital Code

Gameplay

The Night of the Rabbit is built on the traditional point-and-click adventure Game tenets.

Jerry is manipulated by the player using a computer mouse. Interactions with different characters and various items need to be added to the inventory. To solve problems, these items can be combined or utilised separately. Jerry possesses a unique hollow coin that can be utilised to uncover the magic that is being kept hidden. Jerry can search for clickable things by pressing the spacebar or the middle mouse button while using the hollow coin.

Additionally, several treasures can be found to unlock accomplishments, like stickers and audiobooks. A quartets card mini-game that may be played at any moment is also included in the Game.

Plot

Jerry Hazelnut, a 12-year-old aspiring magician, discovers a recipe to make a "carrot flame" during the final days of summer vacation. After he combines the components, a travelling case materialises out of thin air. A wand, a magic hat, and an upright albino rabbit wearing a coat are all contained inside the container. The Marquis de Hoto, as the rabbit presents himself. He claims that there are numerous parallel universes. The deep underground connections between the roots of ancient trees allow them to link with those in alternative realms. As a "Treewalker," the Marquis de Hoto performs a magic spell to transition between the parallel realities.

Additionally, each parallel universe contains hidden magic that may be seen by utilising a unique hollow coin that Jerry holds and that Marquis de Hoto has enchanted.

Jerry is allowed to become the Marquis de Hoto's apprentice to become a magician. Despite the rabbit's assurances that Jerry would return home before dinner, Jerry needed to follow a long-term plan. Jerry agrees and journeys to what appears to be a beautiful parallel planet from a fairy tale with Marquis de Hoto. They eventually arrive at the town of Moosewood, populated with talkative forest creatures.

Jerry learns about "portal trees" and goes to several worlds to acquire four spells to become a true Treewalker while assisting the locals of Moosewood through the Marquis and the Magician of Moosewood. He keeps seeing images of someone who seems to know him during this period.

However, Jerry learns that a wicked wizard named Zaroff is preparing to assault this realm. Zaroff has already used a ritual involving four cursed nails to rule over several parallel universes. When Jerry goes home after mastering his fourth spell, the Marquis has vanished, his house has been abandoned, and his mother has been dead for a long time.

Jerry returns to Moosewood, where he discovers that Zaroff has the town's population under his control, determined to end the curse. He searches for the clearing of the "First Tree," where Zaroff is hiding, and arrests four lizards acting as humans and are Zaroff's helpers. He creates another "carrot flame" while trapped between realms, which causes a masked magician to appear and direct Jerry. He also finds out that his father has been taken out of his life and that all his memories have been lost.

After completing his training, Jerry goes back to Mousewood to celebrate before making it home in time for supper and seeing his father again. The Magician of Moosewood admits that he had been imprisoning the true magician Marquis de Hoto. The honest Marquis declares his philosophy, "Nothing is impossible," giving the impression that he may have managed to get away.
