Plot
Following the events of Syberia, the law company Kate Walker, an American attorney who worked in New York, hires a private investigator to start the Game. The company employs a detective to track down Walker after she left her position to manage the acquisition of an automaton toy factory and left the country to please her family by returning home. Kate helps eccentric inventor Hans Voralberg, looking for living prehistoric mammoths, and his automaton train engineer Oscar in the made-up Russian town of Romansburg by loading Oscar's specially designed clockwork train with coal.
Kate decides to find a solution for Hans after learning about a friend who discovered information on Youkol medicine. When she discovers that the patriarch believes he cannot be cured and determines he should be offered spiritual redemption. When Kate finds his notes in the monastery, she uses them to duplicate the medication and treats Hans. When the patriarch forbids them from leaving, Kate is compelled to design an escape route for the two. When she returns to Romansburg, Kate consents to bring a mechanical component to a neighbourhood pub so that he can fix an automaton gadget he built for its owner.
