Have you got what it takes to create a city from nothing? SimCity, a game that allows you to plan the layout and infrastructure of a completely simulated city, will tell you the answer. The simulation of the defining city is back! Make the decisions that will influence your city and the Sims living in it by building the city you want. Every choice, no matter how minor, has repercussions. Your economy will flourish if you invest in heavy industry, but as pollution spreads, the health of your Sims will suffer. Implement green technology to enhance the lives of your Sims at the cost of increased taxes and unemployment. Join up with your friends to address global issues: send a space shuttle into orbit, cut carbon emissions, or construct unique structures. Compete on national and international leader boards to be the wealthiest, filthiest, happiest, or best tourist destination!

Build your city

Games in the SimCity series simulate construction and management in real-time. Electricity, water, and occasionally garbage management are necessary for the essential city administration, as are other public services, including parks, recreation areas, and facilities for health, education, and safety. These are created by constructing pertinent infrastructure or pertinent structures, with each building enclosing a circular "range" in its immediate neighbourhood.

In most games, the player (playing as the mayor) starts with a blank map and must expand the city using the available funds. Depending on how big the city grows, the player might be able to add governmental and other unique structures (such as a mayor's home or a courtroom) as it develops.
