Shelter (PC / Mac) - Steam - Digital Code

In the video Game Shelter, players take control of a mother badger who must guard her five offspring as they travel from their burrow to a new home. The cubs will eventually become hungry along the way and need food, which the player must give them by either hunting down prey, like foxes, or discovering fruits and vegetables. In each chapter of the game, several threats are posed to the cubs.

The game's initial and last parts both have locations with circling raptors that can fly down and kill a cub if it is left out in the open for too long. A portion of the game is played at night, which limits the player's ability to see their surroundings. The player must pursue the cubs in this stage until they are within a safe distance of the mother because the cubs will occasionally become frightened by noises and flee from them. Later, the player must navigate a wildfire while protecting the cubs from the advancing flames. Another calls for the participant to guide the cubs up a rushing river.

Play as a lynx taking care of her cubs in the harsh yet stunning tundra. To survive amid the food chain, you will need to be both a predator and prey, so keep an eye out for threats, provide for your family, and take advantage of any rare moments of tranquilly.

About Shelter 2:

Your lynx starts on her voyage as a pregnant woman, and after giving birth, it's up to you to continue her journey toward parenting. It's crucial to raise cubs; of course, your survival is the only thing that can ensure theirs.

More complex gameplay elements than its predecessor are included in Shelter 2, such as endurance, several movement styles, jumps, and a variety of animals to kill, all set against the picturesque shifting of the seasons. In addition to hunting, mothers also exhibit several maternal and hunting traits, including calling their babies closer, hunting with their noses, drinking from rivers, and lifting and carrying their children out of harm's way.

A vast wilderness awaits

The environments in Shelter 2 are significantly larger than those in its predecessor and offer a great deal of freedom, allowing players to discover their favourite areas to return to. This time, expect to experience shifting weather and seasons, including chilly winters and colourful summers. Retro Family, who won an award for their work on the Pid Soundtrack, is again responsible for the music. The visuals have been completely redone by adding deep ambience and lighting to the patterned graphical art style.
