Product description
A simulation Game with tactical turn-based fighting is Omerta: City of Gangsters. Working his way up the criminal food chain in 1920s Atlantic City, the player will assume the character of an immigrant straight off the boat with hopes of a great life. His persona begins with little jobs, gathers a gang, and builds an empire by annexing other criminals' territories. He eventually starts his criminal organisation and takes over as de facto mayor of Atlantic City.
Plot
Omerta puts you in charge of a group of hardened thugs and racketeers as you lie, cheat, and steal your way to the top of the food chain in a recreation of Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the 1920s.
Omerta progresses slowly at first while you find your bearings and become familiar with the specifics of underground mob life. As you encounter more and more gangsters (for a total of fifteen), you strengthen your position as "The Boss," and the story only gets better from there.
There is never any over-the-top overacting or stereotyped Italian mafia dialect; each gangster is brought to life with voiceover work that is incredibly natural and believable.
Key Features
- Representation of Atlantic City's landmarks following historical facts
- Playing strategically enables city overview, planning, expansion, and intelligence collection.
- tactical warfare based on turns with a cover system and stealth action in Omerta: City of Gangsters
- 15 distinct player-controlled characters, each with a different personality and history
- a mechanism for controlling equipment and character growth in role-playing games
- A single playthrough of the Game takes 15+ hours, and 20 other maps show the other areas of Atlantic City.
Gameplay
Bug-eyed Bettys are not caring about their beeswax and are making a scene with "lips that touch wine, won't kiss mine." The fuzz is shutting down the neighbourhood juice bars, and charming spirits are being dumped down the drain. A man might be tempted to drink, given all the commotion surrounding alcohol. Although it is difficult to wet one's whistle, some bootleggers are willing to help as long as you get the scratch.
Omerta: City of Gangsters places you in the shoes of an immigrant who has just stepped off a boat and has big-city aspirations. Work your way up the criminal food chain in Atlantic City in the 1920s by taking on little jobs, hiring new gang members, and annexing other mobsters' territory.
You are just not aware of what you are missing out on! The city is yours to rule, and with all the drama and action, you would surely not want to miss out on this! Get your Game now and join the movement.
