Your driving experience will extend beyond the screen into the web thanks to Need for Speed Autolog and its innovative approach to the networked social competition, continually guiding your gaming in novel and exciting directions.
Another Game from the NFS Bundle, NFS-The RUN, is live now!
Challenges
Being the top officer or most wanted racer in Seacrest County is your challenge in this action-packed Game. You'll be able to play a whole career on either side of the law for the first time in a Need for Speed video Game. Whether you're a bash-filled speeder or a police officer with a bad temper, make sure your aviators are without dots, and your driving record is clean.
Gameplay
Hot Pursuit harkens back to the early Need for Speed games, emulating the gameplay of NFS Hot Pursuit 2, which featured exotic automobiles and fast-paced police pursuits. Hot Pursuit offers a comprehensive career mode for the police and racing characters, allowing players to choose between the two. Police and racers are compared to "a dog chasing down a rabbit," with the police being more vital and the racers being faster. Both sides can call for roadblocks and use radar jammers as power-ups. Criterion estimates that the Game's single-player portion takes between 12 and 15 hours to complete, but it has much replay potential.
The Game's setting is Seacrest County, a made-up place modelled like Southern California, Arizona, and Colorado. It has an open environment with more than 100 miles (160 km) of open road, four times as much as Burnout Paradise, the studio's last Game.
Key Features
- Career: Play through an entire career as a cop and a racer for the first time in Need For Speed history. Players can collect the bounty that levels them up and unlock new cars, guns, and equipment, whether playing online with pals, completing friend challenges, or pursuing a single-player career.
- Heat Rides: The automobiles in Hot Pursuit heat up more and more. Drive the most coveted high-performance vehicles in the world at breathtaking speeds to feel the rush. Feel the might of catching criminals in Lamborghini Reventon-style supercharged cop interceptors or outwitting the law as a racer in a Pagani Zonda Cinque-style high-performance supercar.
- Be Equipped: As the chase progresses, take down suspects using a variety of police weapons, such as spike strips, and request additional assistance, such as roadblocks. Various evasion tools are available to racers to outwit the police, including jammers that obstruct police communications and jam their firearms.
