Action

The gameplay has elements of action interwoven with puzzle-solving, much like the venerable Lego brand of video games. Still, players may also go to seven additional movie-relevant locations for the first time, namely Asgard, Malibu, South Africa, The Helicarrier, the Bartons' farm, Washington D.C., and Sokovia. Numerous side missions and extra levels, like racing and saving civilians in peril, are also available in these centres. A modest portion of the Game's "completion" is devoted to the primary plot.

Downloadable resources

It was stated that there would be free downloadable PlayStation-only content. This includes a character pack for Captain America: Civil War, which was published at launch, as well as a Level based on the robbery for the Yellowjacket outfit from Ant-Man, which was released on April 6, 2016. A season pass was also offered during the launch, giving users exclusive access to the "Explorers Pack," story levels, and more than 40 more playable characters.
