As a prelude to the original Garshasp, Garshasp: Temple of the Dragon is a standalone expansion pack. The ancient mace that Garshasp's brother died guarding in the first game is housed in the game's namesake dragon temple.

Unaware of the dangers and animals that await him in the cursed territories, the legendary hero Garshasp journeys into remote lands in search of the secrets concealed in the dragon temple.

In this hack and slash add-on for the first "Garshasp: The Monster Slayer" game, which takes place before the main plot, you play as the great Garshasp.

Temple of the Dragon is a standalone expansion that extensively uses the original's assets. As a result, while many foes are back, Temple of the Dragon also has a variety of new foes, including sorcerers and archers. In addition, even some of the traditional adversaries have undergone subtle changes. While some include brand-new or better-balanced attack options and animations, some have noticeably more aggressive AI (Including a surprisingly high number of unblockable attacks).

There are many more puzzles to be completed in Temple of the Dragon. The original wall-sliding concept, however, is never utilised outside of rapid transitions as a trade-off. Instead, Temple of the Dragon features several more combat arenas with light puzzle elements, where waves of opponents must be dodged or slowed down by spiked floors.
