Product description
Children of Morta is an action role-playing Game featuring a rogue-lite approach to character creation in which you play an entire, remarkable family of heroes rather than a single character. In dynamically generated dungeons, caves, and lands, hack and slash your way through hordes of foes while guiding the Bergson family—with all their good and bad qualities—against the impending Corruption.
Gameplay
- As a player advances through the Game, new family members are unlocked, bringing the number of playable characters to seven. Players assume the roles of members of the Bergson family. Each member of the family has a unique playstyle and gaming mechanics.
- Returns to the Bergson family home serve as the bookends for each Dungeon run, sometimes advancing the plot or letting players hear the new dialogue. The property includes several scenes that occur following game-related activities.
- As the Game progresses, each family member levels up and gains advantages for themselves and the other family members. To rid them of numerous foes and bosses, the player must go through several procedurally created dungeons in Mount Morta's tunnels.
- Its gameplay is an original mashup of hack and slash, rogue-lite, and action-adventure RPG. You can build your family as a whole and individual members by levelling up. You can switch family members between Dungeon runs, and there is no permadeath.
Play Online
You can now play with a friend who lives far away, thanks to the Game's ONLINE CO-OP feature! The Online Co-op option, accessible in both Story and Family Trials modes, allows you to band together and take on Corruption together. Also accessible is a local cooperative!
Storyline
Although the novel is set in another country, it deals with universal themes and feelings like love and hope, desire and uncertainty, and ultimately loss. And the price we are ready to pay to save those who are most important to us. It ultimately revolves around a family of heroes fending off the advancing darkness.
Through the Dungeons
The layout of every Dungeon in the Game is randomly generated. Thus it changes for every Quest. Each Dungeon can include anywhere between two and four levels, with a different boss battle at the very end. You can always return to earlier dungeons to complete side tasks or get more experience.
Characters
You can explore, unlock, and improve everything from ranged attacks to magic spells, blocks, stuns, healing, evasions, and passive skills. You can pick from seven family members who have other talents. John, the father, was a ferocious warrior with a shield and a sword. Linda, the eldest daughter, is a skilled archer. Kevin is a stealthy combatant with devastating daggers. A vibrant and daring fire mage is Lucy. Mark is a disciplined martial artist. Joey uses a sledgehammer to destroy his foes. Apan, the family's newest member, is both a powerful healer and a steadfast defender.
