Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 is an action-adventure Game developed and published by Crystal Dynamics. It was released for the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows platforms in 2001.

Soul Reaver 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. The Game continues the story of Raziel, a vampire and former lieutenant to the vampire lord Kain. In the first Game, Raziel betrays Kain and is cast into the abyss, where he is transformed into a soul reaver, a being that devours the souls of other creatures. In Soul Reaver 2, Raziel is back and on a Quest to unravel the mysteries of his past and the fate of Nosgoth, a dark and twisted world where vampires and humans are at war.

Gameplay

Soul Reaver 2 is an action-adventure Game with a mix of puzzle-solving and combat elements and is played from a third-person perspective. The player controls Raziel as he navigates through various environments, including caves, ruins, and cities. Raziel has several abilities, including gliding, climbing walls, and shifting between the material and spectral realms. In the material realm, Raziel can interact with objects and fight enemies; in the spectral domain, he can pass through barriers and access hidden areas.

Combat in Soul Reaver 2 is fast-paced and fluid, with various weapons and abilities. Raziel can use his claws to attack enemies or pick up swords and axes. He also has a range of magical powers that allow him to stun enemies, create shields, and even summon creatures to fight by his side. As the Game progresses, Raziel gains new skills and upgrades, making him even more potent in combat.

Story 

Soul Reaver 2 picks up where the first Game left off, with Raziel emerging from the abyss and finding himself in an unfamiliar place. As he begins to explore his surroundings, he discovers that he has been sent back in time to the era of the ancient vampires, before the war with the humans began. He also encounters a mysterious figure, the Elder God, who claims to hold the key to Raziel's destiny.

As Raziel travels through time, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies that threaten to unravel the fabric of reality itself. He learns that the fate of Nosgoth is intertwined with his own and that the key to saving the world lies in unravelling the mysteries of his past. Along the way, he confronts old enemies and allies, including Kain himself, and discovers the true nature of the soul reaver and his destiny.
