Descrição do produto
In the World War II-themed real-time strategy game Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, you take control of a small group of skilled soldiers. Send them on a series of challenging missions beyond enemy lines and make sure they return alive. Never before has clever planning been so intensely action-packed. With all your might and expertise, you must carefully organise your attack, take note of the enemy's actions, synchronise your soldiers, and then send them charging into battle.
Six special commandos are under your command, each with its own battle abilities.
Gameplay
In the Game, the player takes on the role of an allied officer responsible for leading a squad of commandos on each of the Game's 20 missions.
- Before a mission starts, there is a briefing that is separated into two sections: the first discusses the mission's history and setting, while the second uses the mission's map to explain the commandos' goals, any crucial information they should be aware of, and their means of escape.
- Each mission in Commandos provides a subset of commandos that the player can utilise to accomplish goals. However, a task is considered to have failed if any of the commandos are lost.
- The enemies in the Game are broken down into three different ranks: soldiers, who are equipped with rifles or MP40 submachine guns; sergeants, who are outfitted with service pistols; some of whom are stationed in fixed machine-gun nests and don't leave their posts; and officers, who are also equipped with firearms.
- Some missions can involve battling enemy tanks, armoured vehicles, and foot infantry.
- Enemies patrol the region alone or in groups of three or four men to keep an eye out for anything odd while maintaining guard stations or being on high alert.
- During a mission, the player can keep an eye on the enemy's line of sight and use it to plan their strategy, but they can only watch one enemy's field of vision at once. A cone symbolises the area of concept of an enemy in front of them that is coloured green.
- This cone is divided into two sections: close range, which is represented by light green and where commandos will be spotted if they enter; and long range, which is characterised by dark green and where commandos will only be spotted if they are standing when they enter.
Major Highlights
- sabotage and tactical brilliance to stop the German war machine.
- Up to 6 different camera views can be used at once using a zoomable isometric camera.
- Twenty missions were carried out in Northern Africa and Europe.
- Multiplayer cooperative mode across a LAN or the internet.
