In Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, a frantic first-person slasher focused on online warfare besieges castles and plunders villages. Showcasing intense online action that aims to replicate the feeling of being on a real mediaeval battlefield, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare seeks to replicate the intensity and grandeur of sword fighting films like 300, Gladiator, and Braveheart in the hands of a gamer.
Players are given swords, shields, maces, battleaxes, and longbows in this skill-based Game that plays similarly to a first-person shooter but without using weapons and grenades. Players will engage in intense online combat besieging castles, raiding mediaeval villages, and competing for glory in the Arena with up to 32 other players in this fictional but grim and realistic world.
Gameplay
- Enemies are attacked with swords, maces, and arrows. To use against foes and their defences, it includes ballistae, catapults, and boiling oil.
- Objective-based gameplay impacts online matches, such as breaking down a castle door with a battering ram or pillaging an enemy's camp.
- There isn't a single-player campaign in the Game, but there are plans to add one in the future.
- Age of Chivalry, a Half-Life 2 mod made by the same developers, and Chivalry have gameplay elements in common.
- With swords, maces, longbows, and other period-appropriate weapons, combat is predominantly melee and is conducted from either a first-person or third-person perspective.
Never Get Bored with Exciting Game Modes
There are several different Game modes in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. The primary Game modes include:
- Free For All: Each participant defends their interests. When the clock runs out, the player with the highest score wins.
- Players engage in competition and 1v1 encounters in duelling. The other players are simultaneously involved in their duels while the player is engaged in a fight with another player. In the end, the player with the most victories wins.
- Team Deathmatch: A contest between two teams. At the start of a Game, both teams have equal resources. When one team's resources are exhausted, and all of its active players have been slain, the Game is over.
- King of the Hill: In this Game, two teams compete to control a region in the centre of the map. The winning team is the one who can hold the territory for the longest first.
- Both teams must protect their flags while attempting to take a flag from the opposing team's base and return it to their own. A team wins if they grab three targets first.
- Players can be found on either the attacking or defending team. The defending team must prevent the attacking team from achieving numerous goals like pillaging a hamlet, driving a battering ram through enemy gates, and killing the monarch.
