Product description
The first-person looter shooter action role-playing video game Borderlands was released in 2009. The original Borderlands game was created by Gearbox Software and released by 2K Games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows, Mac OS X, Shield Android TV, and Microsoft Windows. The game was launched in all countries in October 2009, and Feral Interactive released the Mac OS X version on December 3, 2010. The premise of the video game centres on a team of four "Vault Hunters" who venture to the remote planet of Pandora in pursuit of the "Vault," which is said to have advanced alien technology and other rare treasures.
The Game Sequel, Borderlands 2, is also live!
Gameplay
Gearbox Software, the game's creator, referred to Borderlands as a "role-playing shooter" since it features the character-building components seen in role-playing games.
- Players choose one of four characters at the beginning of the game, each of whom has a distinctive ability and is proficient with a specific weapon.
- Following that, players accept missions given to them by non-player characters or through bounty boards.
- Each mission usually nets them experience points, money, and occasionally a prize item.
- Killing human and non-human enemies and performing in-game tasks allow players to gain experience (such as earning kills using a particular weapon).
Plot
In the far future of 2864, when Borderlands is set, numerous mega-corporations compete for control of planets to colonise them and mine them for their mineral wealth and resources. One giant mega-corporation, the Atlas Corporation, discovered an old alien Vault full of cutting-edge weaponry before the game's events, enabling them to surpass their rivals quickly. On the planet Pandora, Atlas discovered remnants of the same alien architecture and settled there, hoping to learn more about alien technology. However, they were forced to abandon their plans because they could not find any alien technology on the planet's surface and were unprepared for the potentially dangerous wildlife that would emerge during their stay.
GOTY Edition Specials
- Enter the corporately controlled little village of Jakobs Cove and end the legends of the roaming "undead" in THE ZOMBIE ISLAND OF DOCTOR NED. New locations, tasks, and opponents, oh my!
- Celebrate the launch of Marcus Bank by engaging in MAD MOXXI'S UNDER DOME RIOT, the only arena where you may compete and either come back famous or not at all.
- GENERAL KNOXX'S SECRET ARMORY Want more information on the Borderlands saga and more treasure than you can use? Include new weapons, objectives, vehicles, and more!
- NEW ROBOT REVOLUTION OF CLAPTRAP: You're invited to engage in combat with a savage new menace in this catastrophic adventure: a massive revolt of your erstwhile allies, the claptraps.
