Action-adventure Game Batman: Arkham Knight was released in 2015 and was created by Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The fourth main entry in the Batman: Arkham series is on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It is the follow-up to the 2013 gameplay Batman: Arkham Origins. The lengthy comic book mythos inspired Sefton Hill, Ian Ball, and Martin Lancaster's novel Arkham Knight. The Game's main plot follows Batman as he battles Scarecrow, whose attack on Gotham City has prompted a citywide evacuation and is set nine months after the happenings of 2011's Batman: Arkham City. Scarecrow plans to get all of Gotham's criminals together to defeat Batman with the aid of the enigmatic Arkham Knight.
After Arkham City was released in 2011, work on Arkham Knight started and lasted for four years. Paul Dini, who had collaborated on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, was replaced by Rocksteady's writers with the help of comic book writer Geoff Johns. The inclusion of the Batmobile necessitated a shift in the team's design process since the cities in the earlier games were too congested and constrained to accommodate the Batmobile easily. Furthermore, the Game won other awards, including Best Game and Action-Adventure Game. The Game is listed on several lists of the top video games from 2015 and the decade before. Racetracks, challenge courses, skins for Batman and his friends, and vintage Batmobile designs were all included in the Game's post-release DLC. The following instalment of the series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, will be available in the spring of 2023.
