Product description

Banners of Ruin (PC) - Steam - Digital Code

Gather your guests. Answer the phone. Take the war. Create a deck and battle your way across Dawn's Point in a series of turn-based battles with up to six party members. Each character has a unique collection of cards and abilities that may be used to expand your deck in powerful and exciting ways. The action is short mainly - an entire run through the city (to the end boss) should take about 5-6 hours. Being rouge-like, dying, and reliving the event are all part of the desired trauma. There is sufficient diversity in what occurs each time you travel around the city to keep things intriguing for a while - and you acquire 'experience' via runs that unlock new character classes and skills, providing a sense of development. The Game isn't very challenging, but the difficulty ramps up substantially during specific boss battles.

It is irritating since once you've mastered it, you're stuck, able to breeze through the ordinary battles only to try and knock over these more challenging bits. The Game offers a fascinating deck-building idea that allows you to plan over card selections and whether to spend money on party members or commodities. This, along with the unlocks/upgrades for each class type that transfer over to subsequent games, offers replayability and, more significantly, a drive to replay to achieve those unlocks, even after defeating a playthrough, which is fortunate because this is a rogue-lite in which you will have to replay the Game. The Game involves devising cruel ways to reduce opponents' HP and armour to zero. The artwork is fantastic, the music is themed, and the Game keeps it light with elements of comedy in some of the card images.

Gameplay

The terrifying House Ender has inflicted a devastating blow to the Blackfoot; you must breach their fortifications and cut out the rot. Construct your deck and battle your way across Dawn's Point's metropolis with card-based battle and up to 6 individuals in your party. Characters that support your cause have a set of unique cards and traits that may be used to supplement your deck in intense and intriguing ways. Eliminate every elite enemy in your route to the city's Guard Commander and weaken the Enders at their heart.

Spotlights

  • Construct your deck by looting, purchasing, and unlocking various cards.
  • Bears and Otters? Or how about wolves and weasels? You can form a group of six people throughout your journey to fight your enemies.
  • There are six races to discover, each with its own set of racial card pools and passives.
  • Ding! Level up your characters to get access to solid passives and talent cards that may radically alter your approach.
  • Loot! Collect weapons and armour to strengthen your ranks with unique effects and abilities.
  • Which direction is it? Navigate the streets in a card-based campaign.
  • Decisions. On your trip, reveal and engage in many interactions that might have both positive and negative results.
  • Fight an ever-increasingly intricate assortment of foes with fascinating AI behaviours.
