Action-adventure video game Assassin's Creed Unity was created by Ubisoft Montreal and released by Ubisoft. For Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, it was launched in November 2014; for Stadia, it was released in December 2020. It is the follow-up to 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and the eighth main entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Along with Unity, Assassin's Creed Rogue was published on the same day for consoles from the previous generation.

It is set in a fictional history of actual events. An unnamed and invisible protagonist who joins the Assassins as an initiative to assist them in finding the body of an 18th-century Templar Grand Master is featured in the framework story, which is set in the twenty-first century. The main plot, which takes place in Paris between 1789 and 1794 during the French Revolution, centres on assassin Arno Dorian's attempts to reveal the natural forces that were driving the Revolution while exacting vengeance on those responsible for the murder of his adopted father.
