It is the year 1765. Spanish armies intend to take over Louisiana in the south. At the same time, the American Revolutionary War intensifies in the north. Still, they do not expect Aveline, a ruthless assassin who will use every tool at her disposal to achieve freedom. Aveline instils fatal terror into the minds of anyone who stand in her way, whether she is dispatching her adversaries with her many assassinations approach or enticing them into lethal traps utilizing her tools.

Aveline quickly discovers that she is an assassin and embarks on a life-changing trip that will take her from the congested streets of New Orleans to voodoo-infested swamps and historic Mayan ruins. She will be crucial to the tumultuous New Orleans revolution and the birth of a new country. While she strives for freedom, she does so for others whose lives and hopes have been crushed rather than for herself.

Plot

The novel takes place within a made-up history of actual events. It chronicles the Assassins' (who fight to uphold peace and free will) and Templars' (who want control via consensus) millennia-long conflict. The story of the Game, which takes place in late 18th-century French Louisiana between 1765 and 1777, centres on French assassin Aveline de Grandpré, the first female protagonist in the series, as she resists the Templars' attempts to seize control of New Orleans after the French and Indian War. With an emphasis on using Aveline's combat, stealth, and parkour skills to complete objectives and explore the environment, the Game is set in an open world and is played from a third-person perspective.

Experience Completely Improved

Liberation HD completely overhauls the Game's graphics by including high-dynamic-range (HDR) rendering, high-definition settings and characters, and revamped cinematics. These changes take full advantage of the upgraded technology. With new missions that go deeper into Aveline's story, revised world design and updated tasks that improve the pacing, the gameplay experience has also been updated. The audio was also given special attention, with entirely new sound effects and remastered music.
