The legendary Agatha Christie book served as the inspiration for the adventure and investigative game The ABC Murders. In a mystery-filled adventure game from the third-person perspective, the player assumes the role of the renowned Hercule Poirot. The private investigator will again come up against an enigmatic foe known only as "ABC."
Never before will your intelligence be put to the test like this!
You will have to investigate numerous crime scenes in diverse places with picturesque settings throughout the United Kingdom. When it comes to cross-examinations and dangerous puzzles, leave nothing to chance! Observe, query, and investigate everything you can to get the most intelligent conclusions and comprehend the murderer's strategies!
Plot
The ABC Murders novel's main plot and the killer's identity are both carried over into the video game. The number of victims has decreased from four to three when Poirot manages to spare the fourth intended victim, Dick Dunbar, the proprietor of the Black Swan hotel. All of the victims in the game are related to Sir Carmichael Clarke's former patients, Alice Archer, Betty Bernard, Cust, and Dunbar (a doctor in the game).
This clue also gives players a strong suggestion about who the real murderer is, even though it's not necessary to know it to complete the game. Poirot finds the charred patient files at Combeside and recovers these data, enabling Poirot to identify the next victim and stop the murder. Depending on whether Poirot packs his gun with actual bullets or blanks before giving it to Hastings immediately before the decisive encounter, the game has two possible outcomes.
Key Features
- Examining suspects and paying attention to what they say, how they say it, and how they feel will help the player gather information.
- Puzzles: To get further hints, the player must solve puzzles.
- Brain deductions: Using the evidence gathered, the player can conclude the murderer and learn more about them.
- Timeline: The player can use Poirot's Timeline as he forms conclusions and moves through the narrative. This enables Hercule Poirot to create a timeline that includes all the significant events discovered during the investigation.
