For the 2018 adventure performance videogame Monster Hunter: World, Capcom has created and released Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.In September 2019, it was published for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in January 2020, it was launched for Windows. It includes new creatures, enhanced gameplay elements, and a new narrative set in the arctic-themed locale of Hoarfrost Reach. More than 8.5 million Game copies were sold at release, making it both a commercial and critical success.

In Iceborne, the player assumes the character of a Hunter and engages in single or group battles to defeat or capture enormous creatures. Hoarfrost Reach, one of the team's most significant areas, is one of the new polar ecosystems in Iceborne, where players will meet new and reoccurring animals. More regions in Hoarfrost Reach will become accessible for exploration as the player steadily advances through the tale. Players must drink hot beverages or go to hot springs because the Game is situated in a frigid setting if they want to keep their energy up. 

Additionally, snow would make the player travel more slowly. The central location of Hoarfrost Reach was Seliana, where players might find cooks and weaponsmiths. The addition introduces Raider Rides, a new quick travel method that enables gamers to tame and ride on tiny animals to either go to a designated destination on the map or to pursue a monster while still gathering resources. 

In addition, Capcom included new combat choices and weapons in Iceborne, such as the new Clutch Claw weapon, which allows players to grasp onto monsters, and the Flinch Shot weapon, which stuns animals. The powerful weapons may now be brought out and utilized when using the Slinger. New upgrade routes and battle manoeuvres were included to increase the potency of every weapon typology.
