Overview

Cities Skylines Complete Edition for PC is a single-player, open-ended city construction simulation Game in which the player can play either linearly, completing goals that follow a story arc, or sandbox-style, defining and fulfilling their purposes. The Game is loosely based on Cities in Motion, emphasizing efficient transit links within cities.

A contemporary version of the traditional city simulation is Cities: Skylines. The Game builds on several well-established clichés of the city-building experience while introducing new gameplay aspects to reflect the excitement and challenges of establishing and maintaining a real metropolis. Your imagination is the only thing limiting you, so take charge and aim high!

Gameplay

The player starts the Game with one piece of land, a certain amount of money in the bank, and one interchange exit from a nearby highway. By constructing utilities, roads, and specific zones, such as residential, commercial, and industrial, the player "develops" their territory. This encourages individuals to settle down, purchase homes and employment, and essentially start living their lives.

Population growth determines when some civic features are unlocked, such as the ability to partition your city into districts with defined by-laws and limits, the construction of schools, police and fire stations, hospitals, and even the introduction of taxation to pay for it all.

Be cautious when planning your city because specific peculiar and diverse facts will impact other aspects of city management. For instance, commercial establishments perform better when their audience is more educated, allowing for more excellent employment opportunities and a higher tax rate paid to the city, both of which have pros and cons.

It should not come as a surprise that this Game places a lot of focus on transportation, as one might anticipate from a Game whose direct ancestor was built on one.
