Storyline

Our young hero, Crono, meets a woman named Marle by coincidence while taking part in Guardia's Millennial Fair celebrations in Leene Square. Together, they decide to tour the fair and soon arrive at an exhibit showcasing Crono's longtime friend Lucca's most recent creation, the Telepod. Fearless and eager to learn, Marle offers to help with a demonstration. She is nevertheless propelled into a breach in the dimensions by an unexpected malfunction. Crono valiantly pursues the girl while holding the girl's jewellery. But the world from which he comes is from four hundred years ago. Visit the long-forgotten past, the far-off future, or even the absolute end of time.

The Lost Sanctum: mysterious entrances from ancient and mediaeval times will take you to these hidden chambers. If you complete the trials, long-hidden mysteries might come to light.

Images and audio

The images have been upgraded with excellent resolution while preserving the original's mood. All songs have been redone for an even more immersive gaming experience, and composer Yasunori Mitsuda is in charge of sound and music.

Version 2 of Active Time Battle

Time does not stop during a conflict; commands can be entered when the character's gauge is full. As time goes on, the enemies' positions will shift, so you must decide how to respond in each circumstance.

"Technical" moves and combos

During combat, you can use unique "Tech" manoeuvres, such as magic or powers, and characters can combine these manoeuvres to unleash whole new attacks that are specific to them. Between two and three characters, you can use more than 50 different sorts of combos!
