Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D fighting Game developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The Game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26, 2018, and later for Nintendo Switch.

 

The Game is set in the Dragon Ball universe and features a 3v3 tag-team fighting system. Players can choose from various characters from the Dragon Ball series, including Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Cell.

 

 

Gameplay 

 

Dragon Ball FighterZ is fast-paced and intense, with players able to perform a variety of special moves and combos using a combination of light, medium, and heavy attacks. The Game also features a unique "Dragon Rush" mechanic, which allows players to perform a powerful attack that can break through their opponent's guard.

 

In addition to the standard gameplay modes, such as Arcade and Versus, Dragon Ball FighterZ also includes a story mode that follows an original storyline set in the Dragon Ball universe. The story mode follows a group of mysterious clones that have appeared across the planet, causing chaos and destruction wherever they go. It's up to the Z Fighters to stop them and uncover the truth behind their creation.

 

Dragon Ball FighterZ's strategy is primarily centred on the 3v3 tag-team concept. Gamers join teams of three characters and can switch between them during the Game. Each character has its own move set, special moves, and super attacks, allowing players to build their teams and tactics.

 

The "Vanish" mechanic is a fundamental aspect of Dragon Ball FighterZ action. This allows players to teleport instantly behind their opponent and launch a surprise strike, allowing them to create new combos.

 

The "Assist" function is another vital gaming mechanic. Throughout a fight, players can summon one of their teammates to launch a rapid assault, offering cover and opening up new combo possibilities.

 

Dragon Ball FighterZ follows an original storyline set in the Dragon Ball universe. The Game's story mode is divided into three arcs, each with unique challenges and boss battles.

 

 

Plotline

 

The first arc of the story mode sees the Z Fighters investigating the appearance of a mysterious new energy signal on Earth. As they explore, they encounter a group of strange clones wreaking havoc across the planet. The Z Fighters must work together to stop the clones and uncover the truth behind their creation.

 

The second arc of the story mode sees the Z Fighters teaming up with the God of Destruction, Beerus, and his attendant, Whis, to investigate the appearance of a new threat that has emerged in the universe. They soon discover that a group of villains, led by the evil scientist Dr Gero, has been using the Dragon Balls to create a powerful new android that threatens to destroy the entire universe.

 

The third and final arc of the story mode sees the Z Fighters facing off against their most formidable challenge yet: the evil fusion of Goku and Vegeta, known as Vegito. With the universe's fate hanging in the balance, the Z Fighters must work together to stop Vegito and save the world.
