The Strogg, a vicious alien race, invaded Earth in force in the middle of the twenty-first century. The Strogg are only interested in the human remains of those they kill, contrary to initial beliefs that the invasion was an attempt to deplete the planet of its natural resources. The limbs and flesh of the dead are horrifyingly combined with mechanical and metal to become the atrocities of the extraterrestrial Strogg. Years of conflict between the Strogg and humans on Earth eventually led to Earth mounting a counterattack on the Strogg homeworld as supplies ran out. The Strogg homeworld's enormous defence weapon, "The Big Gun", destroyed most of the drop-ships used by the first assault force, which was launched from the fleet and met with fierce opposition. The Strogg leader, the Makron, was ultimately overpowered by one last Marine, who managed to destroy The Big Gun. The fight did not, however, finish there.

The Strogg showed themselves to be incredibly tough, and as the fight raged on, the Strogg came together and built a new, more potent Makron. 

You are Matthew Kane, a member of the prestigious Rhino Squad and a participant in the upcoming massive invasion of the entire planet Stroggos. You quickly find that this battle is far from done once you are outfitted with cutting-edge weapons and mobile vehicles and partnered with a top Marine squadron.
