OVERVIEW

Space Interceptor: Project Freedom, a low-cost space warfare Game, comes from the same development team that gave you the deliberately harmful shooter Terrorist Takedown last month. But don't worry; Space Interceptor is fantastic despite being unluckily connected to that terrible terrorist combat Game and having one of the most disappointing titles of any videogame this year. Space Interceptor brings back many fond recollections of classic PC space simulations like Wing Commander or even Freelancer from 2003. A brave little space shooter with more heart than technological capacity like Space Intruder can be a breath of fresh air in a category as close to total devastation as the space warfare sim, even though it is sadly not up to the Level of excellence of other titles.

What is the purpose of Space Attack aircraft? Its primary focus is on straightforward, simple-to-play space combat, and the storyline is most tangential. Of course, you are a nameless ace pilot flying a space fighter squadron. Project Freedom, the side you support, is continuously being pressured by competing businesses and other evil actors that pass their massive spacecraft and run bases and other things around the galaxy. To you, the gamer, what does that imply? Given that this is a space warfare videogame, it stands to reason that you will be using your beloved spacecraft and squad members to blow those spacecraft and bases into various types of space dust.

The sound of the gameplay is more closely related to the frames per second than any of the other persuasive elements. The sound design and music are mostly excellent, even though the instrumentals may range from really impressive to utterly ineffective. Radio contact from your various shipmates and allies serves as voice work.

Though most performers steer clear of verbatim interpretations of the speech, they sometimes slip and utter something like, "Nice shot!" The hilarity only lasts for a moment because of how gratingly repetitious the language is. The actual soundtrack is made up of a meagre handful of hardly different techno tunes that resemble someone listening to The Matrix score a few times and then attempting to create something slightly comparable. Again, the words "loud" and "repeated" summarise this sheet music.
