Piranha Bytes created Gothic 3, an open-world action role-playing game with a fantasy setting for Microsoft Windows. It is Gothic II's follow-up.

Myrtana, a planet in turmoil: King Rhobar is defending Vengard, the former bastion of the humans, with his final army of supporters as orcs are overrunning it from the dark kingdoms in the north. Outside, anarchy prevails as rebels put up a fight while the Hashishin of the south openly works with the orcs.
