Product description

Mortal Kombat X (PC) - Steam - Digital Code

Mortal Kombat X is a fighting video Game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment. It was released on April 14, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Later, it was also released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 2, 2015. The title is the tenth main instalment in the Mortal Kombat series and the sequel to 2011's Mortal Kombat.

Gameplay:

Mortal Kombat X is a fighting Game with 25 playable characters, with additional characters available as downloadable content (DLC). The gameplay involves two fighters engaging in one-on-one combat to deplete the opponent's health bar. Features a meter that fills as the player performs various moves, allowing for special activities, enhanced versions of regular movements, and decisive finishing actions called "Fatalities."

One of the unique elements of Mortal Kombat X is adding a new fighting style for each character, adding more variety to the gameplay. Players can also choose from three variations of each character, each with unique moves and abilities. The new stamina meter limits some activities and encourages players to strategize attacks.

In addition to the traditional one-on-one matches, Mortal Kombat X features a new mode called "Faction Wars," where players can choose to align with one of five factions and compete with others online. It also includes a story mode, which follows the previous Game's events and introduces several new characters.

Story:

Mortal Kombat X takes place 25 years after the previous Game's events and introduces several new characters, including Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, and Kotal Kahn, the new emperor of Outworld. The story mode follows the conflict between Earthrealm and Outworld, as well as the machinations of the sorcerer Quan Chi and the fallen Elder God Shinnok.

The plot begins with Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's daughter, Cassie Cage, leading a team of recruits, including Jacqui Briggs, Takeda Takahashi, and Kung Jin, on a mission to stop an invasion by Outworld forces. Along the way, they encounter several characters from the previous Game, including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Raiden.

As the story progresses, it is revealed that Quan Chi has been manipulating events behind the scenes, working to free Shinnok from the Netherrealm. Shinnok is eventually released and launches an attack on Earthrealm, leading to a final battle between the forces of good and evil.

Key highlights:

  • Twenty-five playable characters, each with their unique fighting style and moves.
  • Three variations of each character add more variety to the gameplay.
  • Faction Wars mode, where players can compete online and align with one of five factions.
  • Story mode features a new generation of characters and a conflict between Earthrealm and Outworld.
  • Enhanced graphics and gameplay compared to previous Mortal Kombat games.
