Prekės aprašymas

The First Tree (PC / Mac / Linux) - Steam - Digital Code

The First Tree, a third-person exploration game, is the brainchild of the individual who created Home is Where One Starts... It features two parallel stories: that of a fox searching for her vanished family and that of an Alaskan boy reuniting with his father. Players take control of the fox as it travels on a touching and lovely trip that reaches its climax at the source of life and may lead to a greater knowledge of death. As the son becomes involved in the fox's quest to The First Tree, players can discover artefacts and tales from his life along the way.

Gameplay

Many introspective independent games tread a delicate line between a detailed examination of memories and events and solipsism. The First Tree, in my opinion, makes a badly executed, highly absurd double-jump across that boundary. This is a terrible third-person exploration game that is sanctimonious from the get-go and is made insufferable by the most self-absorbed voiceover I've ever heard. It resembles Tolstoy's writing in Dear Esther.

Death is a theme in The First Tree. The passing of a man's father stands out the most. I'm about to take a big dump on a game that, for all I know, might be a developer working through his own emotions related to losing his father. You've been made aware.

There is nothing else to do, so you navigate your boatfox in the direction of the 2D sparkling lights that are scattered over the badly depicted hillsides and fields. Captain Narcissism's next meandering recollection of his youth, of his most dull teenage non-rebellions, and of vaguely acrimonious relationship troubles with his father, will be triggered if you dig up loose soil where enormous columns of light extend to the sky. Simpering female voice is heard throughout oohing and ahhing, agreeing, and soothing at this bilge as if it were the most captivating thing she had ever heard.

Key Features

  • For followers of Shelter, Firewatch, and Journey.
  • Not a "fox simulator," but a heartfelt, private tale by a one-man team with a memorable conclusion.
  • featuring a stunning soundtrack performed by well-known musicians including Josh Kramer, Lowercase Noises, and Message to Bears.
  • A quick game (roughly an hour and a half) with a story as its main focus and some simple platforming and puzzle solving.

To solve this mystery, you need to get your game today! We bet this is not just any normal game that you play every day, it is a mixture of emotions, love, and much more. Get yours now!
