The 2004 Chicago murderer's identity is never made public. Victoria runs into him multiple times, but she never sees who he is. He is not the Prague killer, in her opinion. Instead, she sees him as a younger person who has been affected by him somehow. During the Game's conclusion, The Chicago killer is shot by Victoria. Still, he immediately runs into the Chicago River and disappears. The Chicago police are still looking for the killer's body as the Game comes close. Victoria wants to discover more about the murders from 1956. Therefore she's going to Los Angeles.

Post Mortem is a predecessor of Still Life, released in 2002and Still Life 2, a sequel to Still Life, was released in 2009.
