Build your city

Games in the SimCity series simulate construction and management in real-time. Electricity, water, and occasionally garbage management are necessary for the essential city administration, as are other public services, including parks, recreation areas, and facilities for health, education, and safety. These are created by constructing pertinent infrastructure or pertinent structures, with each building enclosing a circular "range" in its immediate neighbourhood.

In most games, the player (playing as the mayor) starts with a blank map and must expand the city using the available funds. Depending on how big the city grows, the player might be able to add governmental and other unique structures (such as a mayor's home or a courtroom) as it develops.
