In the middle of the forest, there sits a unique cabin. Three generations of Lodgers had lived there and used it as a lab.
But, the most recent Lodger has noticed odd alterations in their familiar surroundings; items are gone, and noises and rattles can be heard. Out of the trees, something strange emerges. When darkness falls, it appears someone has settled in the dimness of the apartments, attics, and cellars.
It would be best if you remain alert and rational till morning.
The Lodger is pacing the rooms as he counts the minutes until morning while avoiding the uncertainty. Yet he can only unlock the critical puzzle and discover the solutions at night. What is happening? Are the Guests there, or are they just figments of his sleep-deprived mind? How had the forest changed? What is going on with the cabin? Is there a difference between imagination and reality?

Gameplay
Keeping The Lodger alive until daybreak is the main objective of the Game. The area around The Lodger's home gives him severe life-threatening fear. By turning on the lights in every area of the house, the player becomes in control of The Lodger and aids him in surviving. Once the light is turned on, you can only interact with the objects in the room. There might be, for instance, a clock that can quicken the passage of time, a hiding place for The Lodger, or simply some decorative trinkets. The guests will also arrive more quickly the more illuminated the rooms are. The lights turn off as soon as a visitor enters a lit space.
The Lodger's lousy health has an impact on the gameplay as well. For instance, he can't move after turning on a light because of an eye ailment that prevents him from adjusting to the new lighting.
In Knock-Knock, time is relative and is even reversible.
