Icône du groupe B, l'Opel Manta 400 est entrée au milieu de 1983. Il a eu du mal à faire correspondre ses concurrents AWD, avec un prototype AWD Opel Manta qui a été développé brièvement avant la fin du projet. Le groupe Opel Manta B produit 275ch, offrant une excellente traction dans le sec.
