Story:

 

Mariano Cavallero, the man behind Forager, quit school to pursue video game development. He spent a year learning how to programme, but sadly his games attracted no attention at first. When he ran out of money, he returned to live with his mother, who had put her entire life savings into her son's endeavours. He began working on Forager during a game jam but eventually ran out of cash once more.

 

Mariano competed in one final contest before giving up, and he earned a trip to the US to exhibit his work there. He was playing Forager when he was supposed to be in a meeting with a friend he made at a conference. He showed Forager to the person he was meeting after they had to come looking for him. This individual offered a publishing agreement for Forager while representing Humble Bundle. After being released on Steam for a year, the game had 600,000 units sold.
