Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is a local Multiplayer Racing Game developed by Sumo Digital and published by SEGA in 2010.
A high-speed, high-skill racetrack shutdown features Sonic & Sega All-Stars as they race for Victory!
In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, enter the track by car, monster truck, bike, or even aeroplane.
In an annoying sprint to the finish line, explore magnificent new circuits, including Sonic Seaside Hill, Curien Mansion, and Blizzard Castle, as you zoom over walls of mediaeval castles, hurtle beneath lush rainforest canopies, and tear through crowded cityscapes. Fight 20 opponents in your particular character vehicle, including Ai Ai from Super Monkey Ball, Amigo from Samba, and the sinister Dr Eggman.
Avoid obstacles and unleash excellent character skills like Tails' wild Tornado, which can propel any vehicle clean into the air, or Super Sonic's invincible attack of monkey balls. But even if you've been broken, bruised, and battered, the fight isn't finished yet! Supercharge your car with power-ups to reenter the race, and keep an eye out for any hidden shortcuts that could give you the edge.
- Party Racing Fun - Compete against your buddies in a 4-player split-screen matchup or engage in single-player combat!
- Your favourite racers are here. Twenty characters from the Sonic & SEGA universe are available for selection, including Sonic, Tails, Aiai, and Amigo.
- Every character drives a different high-speed vehicle, such as a sports car, bike, plane, or even a vast banana, to perform custom-made special manoeuvres!
- All-Star Moves: Do you have to get past a rival? Can't pass another racer? Then, eliminate them using a pick-up weapon (missiles, mines, or another obstacle) or one of the 20 distinct character movements that let the target know who just hit them!
- Amazing visuals As you battle through 27 challenging tracks from the Sonic and SEGA Universe, you will traverse mediaeval castle ramparts, beautiful rainforest canopies, and busy cityscapes.
- Grand Prix, Single Race, Missions, and Time Trials are the four single-player modes. Split-screen multiplayer modes with a maximum of four players include Free Race, Arena, King of the Hill, Collect the Emeralds, and Capture the Chao. Additionally, the Game offers customised online multiplayer possibilities for up to 8 people.
- Cars, bicycles, and hovercraft are the three categories into which vehicles are divided. The surfaces that vehicles travel on might help or impede them because the topography on the tracks will vary. The weight and speed of cars vary, and some drive more efficiently on specific surfaces than others. Bikes can easily be bullied by heavier cars despite having quick acceleration and the ability to perform ground stunts for further boost. Although they can execute numerous manoeuvres after a jump and are unaffected by any Terrain, hovercraft have weaker control and slow acceleration. Additionally, each vehicle's engine produces a distinctive sound.
