Independent game developer 2D Boy created and released this puzzle video game called World of Goo.

Drag and drop globs of goo to construct buildings, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and enormous tongues. The numerous Goo Balls that populate the lovely World of Goo are intrepid explorers but are unaware that they are playing a game or that they are pretty tasty.

The object of the puzzle game World of Goo, which uses physics, is to use as few goo balls as possible to build structures like bridges and other crossings over gaps and other barriers so that other goo balls can reach their destination.

Gameplay

The game's core concept is to use goo balls to construct massive buildings. The game is divided into five chapters, each of which has several levels. Each level has a distinct musical and graphic theme that creates a unique ambience. There is also a free meta-game called World of Goo Corporation, where the player's goal is to construct the tallest tower out of the goo balls they have gathered throughout the game. Due to the tower's height and the number of goo balls utilised being continuously uploaded to the 2D Boy server, players from all over the world can compete.
