Egyptian mythology claims that the light-bearer Horus deceived the malevolent God Set and imprisoned him in a hidden tomb. Five thousand years later, Lara Croft unearths the long-lost tomb and unintentionally sets the evil God Set free, fulfilling a foretold prophecy that he would return and engulf humanity in darkness. The action-adventure video game Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation follows the Archeologist-adventurer Lara Croft. 

After unintentionally releasing the Egyptian god Set, she rushes to lock him up. In order to advance, Lara must navigate levels divided into numerous sections and room complexes while battling adversaries and solving riddles.

 

The game is a follow-up to Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft.

 

 

Gameplay

 

• InTomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, the player takes on the character of archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft and explores a number of ancient ruins and tombs in search of ancient artefacts.

 

• The levels are divided into a required two-level tutorial region situated in Cambodia and the remaining levels, which are spread out throughout several sites in Egypt. The game's levels are divided into zones, and in order to advance further, you must revisit specific level parts.

 

• The game's perspective is third person, the same as in previous Tomb Raider games. The key to moving forward is to solve the riddles that are dispersed around the level. These puzzles may require you to pull certain switches or look for specific objects.

 

• Lara can use a Jeep and a motorcycle with a sidecar during vehicle sections in select levels.

 

• Lara engages adversaries that appear at specific locations in the world during combat. Lara uses two pistols that she frequently uses and has an endless supply of ammo. Other weapons in the game include a crossbow, grenade launcher, uzi, shotgun, revolver, and grenade. All of these weapons have limited ammo, and some have different types for varying effects on foes. 4–7 Players have the option of using either manual or automatic targeting.

 

• The Last Revelation employs menus that scroll horizontally and provides an additional layer for combining things or changing the type of ammunition for weapons. Throughout the Level, consumables, including health packs and ammunition, can be discovered, as well as hidden supply caches.
