Syberia (Europe) (PC / Mac) - Steam - Digital Key

A young, ambitious lawyer from New York named Kate Walker receives what initially appears to be a reasonably simple assignment: make a brief detour to manage the sale of an old automaton factory tucked away in an alpine valley before returning home to the US.

When she started this work, she had no idea that it would completely change her life. As she makes her way throughout Europe, from Western Europe to the furthest reaches of Eastern Russia, she comes across various amazing people and places in her Quest to find Hans, the brilliant inventor. He holds the key to solving the Syberia riddle.

Benoît Sokal, a comic book creator and video Game developer from Belgium, is the creator of the Syberia series of graphic adventure games. The series is currently being produced and released by French video Game studio Microids and is set in an alternate universe created by Sokal and debuted in the 1999 video Game Amerzone.

Key Features

  • A compelling story that defies your imagination.
  • Detailed and realistic 3D settings with intriguing, rich people.
  • Film-style camera movements, framing, and angles.
  • Unique and imaginative puzzles.

Between March and May 2004 in North America and Europe, Syberia II was made available for Windows. Later that year, it was also made available for PlayStation and Xbox. It follows Kate Walker, who gives up her profession and the chance to move back to the United States, as he travels with the last remaining member of the Voralberg family in search of the fabled island of Syberia. It is the continuation of the original Syberia's story. Since its initial PC release, Syberia II has been ported to various platforms.

Gameplay

For the plot of Syberia, a point-and-click adventure Game played from a third-person perspective, to move forward, the player must solve numerous puzzles and carry out specific steps. Syberia's gameplay features nonlinear components that deepen it. Even though each chapter starts and ends the identical way, players can choose the sub-locations and non-player characters they want to interact with first.

Plot

To supervise the corporate takeover of a family-run spring-automaton toy factory, American attorney Kate Walker is dispatched by her law company to the fictional French village of Valadilène at the start of the Game. When Kate arrives, she discovers that Anna Voralberg, the recently deceased owner, had previously told the town notary that her brother Hans was alive, despite her father's assertion that he had been killed and buried. Kate discovers that Hans is now the factory's owner and that for the takeover to go forward, she needs his consent.
