Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is an expansion pack developed by Relic Entertainment and published by SEGA in 2007.-

The newest instalment of the #1 rated RTS series places players in a horrible, war-torn environment where they must lead two battle-tested armies in unrelenting campaigns for their nation and honour. Players take charge of the German Panzer Elite as they attempt to fend off the most significant airborne invasion in history while leading the brutal British 2nd Army during the dramatic liberation of Caen, France, during World War II.

Opposing Fronts uses a Dynamic Weather Effects system that includes day-to-night changes and real-time weather effects. Aside from these improvements, certain birds sing at different times of the day and during unique weather patterns. The Dynamic Weather Effects technology has no tactical effect on the battlefield, despite what Relic initially claimed.

There are two new single-player campaigns in Opposing Fronts. Both the British and the German perspectives are represented in the campaigns' gameplay. The Liberation of Caen inspires the British movement. It has nine missions centred on the British and Canadian forces' assault on Caen from Sword, Gold, and Juno Beaches. During Operation Market Garden, the German Panzer Elite's campaign pushed back Allied forces. It has eight missions that players may complete. It follows a Panzer Elite Kampfgruppe as it prepares for one of the most significant airborne invasions in history in the occupied Netherlands.

Opposing Fronts can play against Company of Heroes players. Games can face off against the Wehrmacht or the Panzer Elite as either the Americans or the British. Only the American or Wehrmacht armies are available to play, as for those who only own Company of Heroes.

Two new armies Play as either the German Panzer Elite or the British 2nd Army, both of which have devastating command tree options and unit upgrades.

Two Complete Campaigns Direct the British 2nd Army to liberate Caen, France, a vitally important strategic location. In Operation Market Garden, command the German Panzer Elite to fend off the Allied airborne onslaught.
