The primary enemy of the Game, Handsome Jack, acquired Hyperion, the largest manufacturer of weapons, and crowned himself ruler of all of Pandora. Between the happenings of Borderlands and Borderlands 2, the action of Borderlands: Pre-Sequel occurs. The Game transports the player to the moon of Pandora. Players get the ability to discover Handsome Jack's background during the Quest, which serves as Borderlands 2's antagonist. As the narrative develops, it becomes clearer how Jack was evolving and why he reached the person he did in Borderlands 2.
