The Blood of Dawnwalker is all about open world exploration and some of its best discoveries are surprisingly easy to miss. Vale Sangora is filled with hidden caves, unmarked treasure, secret activities and small side stories that can be rewarding if you go for them along with the main missions.
Some discoveries give you powerful Legendary equipment while others simply reveal more about the world and its characters. A few can also open alternative ways to reach places that become difficult to access later in the story.

1. Hidden cave behind the waterfall
Players often overlook the waterfall cave near Parlita. Head to the southeast from Parlita, then keep going along the river until a waterfall shows up. Don’t go around it but step straight through the water as it drops.
On the other side, there is a tucked away cave. Inside you can find a skeleton, the Arbiter’s Medallion, a Legendary amulet and a big pile of silver. That is a solid reason to check odd spots in the world and not just chase the quest markers.
2. Find the Legendary Durandal
The Cursed Chasm is one of the optional Blood of Dawnwalker secret locations that matters. It ties into a side quest and later gives you Durandal, a legendary blade.
You can walk right past it if you stick to the main plot and do not explore other corners. That is a sign that strong gear is often tucked into places you only find by looking around. If you see a weird spot or an odd task, stop and check it in the RPG game.
3. Discover the hidden shrine in Svartrau
Svartrau has a shrine that stays hidden. You will be glad you found it later. When night falls, head for the Curious House near the southeast gate of the city. Use Coen’s Shadowstep to climb up to the higher area of the building.
Then go inside and you will see the Destroyed Shrines: A Hidden Shrine activity. Finish it and you can bring the shrine back and it may also give you a backup route into Svartrau if Brencis shuts the usual entry points due to high Infamy.

4. Find the hidden village of Uriash
Uriash Village sits in the west side of Vale Sangora in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Many people miss it at first. It does not stand out like most other towns. To get there, you need to work through the quests tied to it. The area links to A Friend Like This and Song of the Mountain.
If you try to rush, you will not get in the right way. Start the questline first and then return. If you are the type who checks off every settlement in the game, Uriash matters. It is one of the places you will want on your list.
5. Search for Pieter’s hidden stash
The Buried Past side quest takes you into the Maragir Wealds. That quest points to a hidden treasure connected to Pieter. Head to a quiet spot and search around. Find a tall tree. Near it, there should be two stumps. Also look for a ring of stones.
When you see that setup, you are at the spot where you can dig. Inside the stash you will get Pieter’s Garb. It is a Legendary light chestpiece. You will also find other loot. You gain XP from the quest, too. And along the way you will also receive the Artery Strike skill manual.
6. Explore the ruins beneath Svartrau
The quest titled A Hero’s End starts by an old, empty structure on Carpenter’s Row. If you look around and move under the building, you will find old ruins below ground. Down there, you can find a chest. Inside is the Legendary shortsword, The Hand of Fate.
When you finish the quest as Coen, you also get the Legendary Ancient Hero’s Armour. At first, the entrance just looks like any other spot. Because it seems plain, it is simple to ignore it and keep walking.

7. Explore St. Tyna’s Convent
In Echoes of Silenced Bells, you will go to St. Tyna’s Convent. Remember to not rush through right away and take your time to check different locations like the chapel, the infirmary, the dormitories, the bell tower and the library. You could use the Focus Mode as you move through each area.
The Campana Loquitur tells you what the convent bells do. With three rings, the undead nuns head for the chapel. With four rings, they go to the infirmary and with five rings, they are drawn toward the dormitories. The convent also has St. Tyna’s relic where you can find more story details.
8. Rescue Vasil
Vasil, whom players meet earlier in the game, can appear again later. In the quest Bakir’s Pillories: Familiar Face in Parlita, you can run into him again. This time he is trapped and guarded as a prisoner.
Once you free him, his part of the game keeps moving and he will want to go back to Laslea. That means players get another shot to see him again after the action game starts.

9. Find the Ancient Circles
You will also come across 13 Ancient Circles in Vale Sangora and these spots are meant for exploring in daylight.
When you reach a circle, look at the mural first. Then go to the altar and use Astral Communion. Enemies will show up after that. Fight them to clear the area and open a chest. Inside, you can find loot like gear, XP and skill manuals.
10. Climb Towers to reveal secrets
Finally, make use of the game’s 11 Towers. Climbing them reveals nearby points of interest, including quests, vendors and some activities.
A useful exploration strategy is simple:
- Climb nearby towers.
- Reveal points of interest.
- Investigate question marks.
- Use Focus Mode inside buildings.
- Check waterfalls, caves and unusual terrain.
- Return to older areas after unlocking new abilities.

Conclusion
The Blood of Dawnwalker secret locations are very important to explore. A few places hand you Legendary gear and other spots only show bits of Vale Sangora’s past. Sometimes you even meet people again that you had already written off.
If you want to find more Blood of Dawnwalker secrets, keep it basic. Look near waterfalls, search in caves and tap every question mark you see. You should also return to visited places after a while to check if you missed anything. Keep collecting new skills can make paths easier or open doors that were out of reach before. Choices you make, plus your Infamy, can also change what you find in each area in The Blood of Dawnwalker..
