Can You Still Get Old Fortnite Skins?

Yes, you can still get some old Fortnite skins, but not all of them. If an old skin was released in the Item Shop, there is always a chance it can return because the Fortnite Item Shop rotates regularly.

However, old Battle Pass skins are different. Earlier Battle Pass skins were treated as limited-time rewards, so many old Battle Pass outfits from Chapter 1 and earlier seasons are still not normally available. But starting with Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic Games changed its rule. Items from Fortnite Passes may now return to the Item Shop 18 months or more after the pass expires, though there is no guarantee every item will return.

Moreover, some old skins are also tied to exclusive promotions, console bundles, tournaments, or special codes. These are much harder to get because they may not return to the Item Shop at all. So, the simple answer is: old Item Shop skins can return, newer Battle Pass skins may return after 18 months, but many OG, exclusive, and older Battle Pass skins are still very rare.

What Are OG Fortnite Skins?

OG Fortnite skins are old skins from the early days of Fortnite, especially from Chapter 1. These skins became popular because they were released when Fortnite was still new and had a smaller player base.

Some famous OG Fortnite skins include Renegade Raider, Aerial Assault Trooper, Black Knight, Ghoul Trooper, Skull Trooper, Recon Expert, Royale Bomber, and The Reaper. These skins hold so much value because of their age, rarity, and exclusivity. This is why OG skins are often treated as status symbols in the Fortnite community.

How Many OG Fortnite Skins Are There?

There is no official fixed number for OG Fortnite skins because OG is more of a community term. In general, players usually call Chapter 1 Season 1 to Chapter 1 Season 3 skins OG skins, while some also include rare skins from later Chapter 1 seasons.

However, if we count only the most accepted OG skins from the earliest seasons, there are around 20 to 40 major OG Fortnite skins. Here are some OG Fortnite skins worth considering:
