Overview

 

You are the leader of the Wild West settlers in Depraved. In a procedurally generated environment with just one carriage full of supplies, your adventure is about to begin. Choose a good location for your first colony, then gather building materials from nature or through trade to give your citizens a new country to call home. Your town will expand more quickly the happier your citizens are.

Don't let your residents go hungry or thirsty by providing them with food and drink. By providing them with clothing and firewood, you can shield them from the elements and disease. 

Many perils will need to be overcome by you. If you don't provide for your citizens, you'll be attacked by storms, sicknesses, and bandits, and they could even pose a threat to you. Are you up for the task at hand?

 

 

The needs

 

Drepraved's inhabitants have requirements. Hunger and thirst are their primary needs, which you can meet by giving them food and liquids. Every population type also requires a different food source. If the preferred meal for your population type isn't accessible due to a food shortage, you can still feed them with an alternative food source, but this will negatively impact their mood. Unhappy citizens either flee the town or carry out raids and other criminal acts.

The happier your town's citizens are, the more popular your town will become, and the more colonists will flock to live there. The people in your town will flee if there are famines, epidemics, or acts of lawlessness, leaving the streets to look deserted.

 

Facing the dangers

 

The American West is hazardous! Numerous obstacles must be overcome. There are various places where your residents can settle down, but each of them has its own set of difficulties. While finding food and water in the desert is still challenging, you can only survive in the icy regions by keeping a steady supply of firewood on hand.

The animals in the area are a further threat. Although most animals stay away from people, you should use caution around wolves or bears. They have the potential to murder or severely hurt your citizens.

Additionally, nearby bandits and camps can get hazardous. Do not underestimate them because they perform raids and robbery against your inhabitants. Such attacks detract from your residents' sense of security and cost you money.

 

The Americans

Native Americans can either become your greatest allies or your worst foes depending on how you choose to view them. They will first feel frightened if a settlement is constructed nearby. You should trade with them in order to appease them and win their goodwill. If you don't want to live in harmony with them, try to battle them and take their territory!
