For both offline (2 players) and online (4 players) play, Sacred 3 offers traditional arcade Hack n' Slash action centred around drop-in, drop-out cooperative multiplayer. Select a legendary hero, then unite with them to battle the emergence of evil. Grimm hordes, ferocious animals, mercenary troops, and zombie wizards will all be present for you to battle.

Gameplay

For generations, the area was peacefully governed by the Seraphim, keepers of the fabled "Heart of Ancaria," but now no one remembers them. Lord Zane, the emperor of the Ashen Empire, joined with demons in an effort to unlock the underworld's gates. A group of Heroes came together to form a resistance, bound by the bonds of this cruel kingdom.

Players must overthrow Zane Ashen, the dictatorial king of the Ashen Empire, and prevent him from getting the Heart of Ancaria, a potent artefact.

Although there are many classes available, those from Sacred 2: Fallen Angel are not among them. The Safiri Warrior and Ancarian Lancer have taken their place. Castle Braverock is one of the environments from the previous game that has returned.

Four-player online and offline co-op is available in Sacred 3. Each ally possesses a unique set of active and passive abilities. To prevent the team from becoming overpowered, only a limited amount of skills can be equipped by each member at once. This may also allow the team's powers to be combined to give the player more options to defeat enemies.
